Midwifery care
Antenatal and postnatal care at home

I offer personalised midwifery care centred on physiology, attentive listening, and respect for your choices. My support is available during pregnancy, around birth, and throughout the postnatal period. Care is provided at home, within your local area.
If you have a specific request or any questions, please feel free to get in touch so that we can find the most appropriate support for your situation.
A physiology-centred midwifery approach
Every pregnancy and postnatal period is unique. My role as a midwife is to offer care that is both clinical and compassionate, supporting you with evidence-based information while respecting your rhythm and lived experience. When appropriate, I work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and continuous care.

Appointments can be booked directly online via agenda.ch, or by contacting me if you have a specific question or situation.
Individual sessions are offered à la carte, according to your needs, whether this is your first pregnancy or a refresher. Private classes are available in English and in French.

Topics may include:
-
the end of pregnancy: what to expect and how to ease discomforts,
-
early labour and labour (contractions),
-
understanding and managing contractions,
-
birth and welcoming your newborn,
-
the first days and weeks with your baby,
-
infant feeding: breastfeeding and/or formula feeding.
These sessions provide an opportunity to address your questions in a personalised and supportive setting, within a calm and caring environment.
Antenatal preparation – group sessions (in french only)
Group antenatal classes offer a comprehensive and human approach, facilitated by a midwife / doula duo.

Together, we explore:
-
the physiology of birth,
-
comfort techniques (inspired in particular by the Bonapace method),
-
the role of the co-parent,
-
birth preferences,
-
preparation for the postnatal period.

This approach combines evidence-based practice with emotional and relational support, within a respectful and welcoming group setting.
Antenatal care at home (with or without medical referral)
Antenatal follow-up can be provided at home, in a calm and reassuring environment. When pregnancy is progressing normally, some consultations may take place without a medical referral, within a physiology-centred approach focused on attentive listening and clinical assessment.

In other situations, closer monitoring may be required. Your doctor may then prescribe home visits by a midwife, which are covered by basic health insurance. These consultations help ensure appropriate clinical follow-up and, when needed, coordination with other healthcare professionals involved in your care.

CTG monitoring at home
When indicated, fetal and uterine monitoring can be carried out at home using a cardiotocograph (CTG). This non-invasive examination allows assessment of the fetal heart rate in relation to uterine activity.
The recording usually lasts 20 to 30 minutes and allows:
-
observation of your baby’s heart rate and variability,
-
assessment of the presence and frequency of uterine contractions,
-
a clinical evaluation of fetal well-being, in the comfort of your home.
This monitoring is part of a global approach to antenatal care and may be carried out in coordination with your doctor when appropriate.

Appointments can be booked directly online via agenda.ch, or by contacting me if you have a specific question or situation.
Postnatal care (after birth)
After birth and once you have returned home, I provide postnatal care to support your recovery and your baby’s well-being.

In order to organise postnatal care under optimal conditions, it is recommended to contact me during pregnancy to express your wish to receive postnatal follow-up. Booking ideally takes place before 37 weeks of gestation, to help ensure availability and continuity of care after your baby’s birth.

You are entitled to 10 or 16 postnatal visits, up to 56 days postpartum, depending on your situation. These consultations may include:
-
monitoring your physical and emotional well-being,
-
support with postnatal recovery,
-
guidance around infant feeding,
-
monitoring your baby’s growth and general health,
-
early identification of situations that may require additional attention.

Breastfeeding support

Appointments can be booked directly online via agenda.ch, or by contacting me if you have a specific question or situation.
Breastfeeding support may be provided by midwives, child health nurses, and/or IBCLC lactation consultants. As a midwife, I offer support based on up-to-date knowledge and a respectful, individualised approach.

My initial training was completed at a university accredited as a UNICEF Baby-Friendly Hospital. I have also taken part in additional breastfeeding-specific training and continue to update my knowledge regularly, in order to refine my practice.

Support may include:
-
initiating breastfeeding,
-
continuing breastfeeding, return to work and when weaning
-
perceived low milk supply,
-
oversupply or difficulties managing milk production,
-
pain during feeds,
-
breast engorgement,
-
recurrent mastitis,
-
or any other difficulty encountered during breastfeeding.
The aim is to offer practical, compassionate and tailored support, in line with your experience, needs, and choices.
